The Art of Parisian Floral Design

The French possess an effortless flair for style that is both enviable and inspiring. Their approach exudes a sophisticated chicness that is evident in their cuisine, fashion, and floral arrangements. Buying flowers isn't a rushed afterthought in France - it's an experience.

Having visited France several times, the culture inspires me to have a knack for choosing thoughtful, seasonal creativity. Strolling through the marchés in early June, the stalls were overflowing with peonies of every variety. The intoxicating smells of gardenia and roses wafted along the streets. The seasonal variety of the marchés guarantees quality and cherishes each bloom.

Parisian floral design is characterized by its simplicity. Vendors often design with monochromatic and complementary palettes in mind. Their arrangements were never cookie-cutter and were works of art, featuring the flowers' colors and textures. This tends to be my style of floral design. Our attention to detail is evident when we remove a wayward leaf or reposition a flower until the arrangement feels alive and picture perfect.
